To make your weekly plant list page:
1. Click on your week's plant list on the navigation bar on the left.
2. Click "edit " at the top right. Type in the week's plant list.
3. Highlight the botanical name of the plant and click the "insert link" icon. Then click on "add link". Do this for every plant on the list.
4. Once all the plants are linked, click "save".
5. Click the link of the first plant. click "edit" in the top right corner. Type up the information for that plant. To include photos click on the "insert images and files" icon. Follow instructions. Click save to upload image.
6. Click Save. Do this for every plant on the list.
To update the "Foliage Plant" and "Herbaceous Plants" lists:
1. Click either "Foliage Plants" or "Herbaceous Plants" in the navigation bar, according to the material for the plants you just added.
2. Click "edit this page"
3. Find the first plant you added, highlight the botanical name and click the "insert link" icon.
4. Make sure the Page Name box does not have a triangular warning next to it. If it does not, click ok. Your page is now linked.
5. If there is a warning, click "choose an existing page" right below the page name box. Select the name of the page you created for that plant. click ok.
To update the "Plants by Family" list:
1. Click "Plants by Family" in the navigation bar. Click "edit this page"
2. If the family is not already listed, add it in the correct alphabetical spot. List the plants in that family below it.
3. If the family is already listed, add the plant names under it.
4. Highlight the botanical name of the added plant and click the "insert link" icon.
5. Make sure the Page Name box does not have a triangular warning next to it. If it does not, click ok. Your page is now linked.
6. If there is a warning, click "choose an existing page" right below the page name box. Select the name of the page you created for that plant. click ok.
What to do if the font is messed up:
To avoid this problem, physically type the information instead of copying it from a word document**
1. Click edit this page
2. Click on the word that is messed up so that the cursor is somewhere in the word.
3. In the icon bar, click on the capital A with the colors beneath it.
4. In the pop up window, click remove all styles.
5. You may now manipulate the font size, color, etc. freely.
